生長 Go to the Sky

A single tall plant rises above the horizon—seemingly solitary, yet what lies beneath remains deliberately unseen. I chose to conceal the multitude below, leaving only this one form reaching toward the sky: upright, focused, undisturbed.
The entire surface has been given an aged finish, softening the sharpness and lending the work a quiet, weathered quality. This treatment is not merely aesthetic—it embodies the classical ideal of "better awkward than clever" In hiding what is raw or imperfect, the painting reveals a deeper kind of truth: one that does not strive for polish, but rests in being itself.
